Pilsen Pop-UP @ 1011 W 18th St. An Unbeatable Debut And Beginning Of Woke Soul Coffee

Pilsen's heart beats on 18th St. I couldn't have asked for a better location to debut this journey. I have had the privilege to call it home for 12yrs. The people who grew up here are so rich in culture and expression it will make anyone fall in love. It's the art, the street vendors, the corner stores, some of the best food, the elders you see in their routine - walking/watering flowers, the summer block parties, the community creating spaces and reminding we are all worthy of good things. This community is top tier for me. I am so proud to call this place home. I am so grateful for the time I've been able to serve.

There are 3 things that I didn't expect to learn but have taken away in these short 3/4 months.

Serving coffee brings me more joy than I thought it ever could. I get to talk to people and be a part of their day. I've had the best conversations both light and deep. I enjoy all of them.

I have never been a morning person. Swore I'd never be a morning person. I AM NOW A MORNING PERSON. It's something about waking up to do something you choose and makes you happy.

Average Coffee just won't cut it for me anymore. I used to be able to slug down a mediocre tasting coffee but after committing to Regenerative Coffee by Buena Vida, I can literally notice so many differences in the taste profile and overall feel of my body. Its clean from start to finish, free of pesticides or any chemicals; and after visiting the farms, witnessing their commitment and thoughtfulness down to the soil it grows in and entire process, there is just no turning back from here. Regenerative coffee and agriculture to the world. Here is my tiny contribution. Will you join me in making it bigger? It's for the benefit of us all.
